Philippine Airlines Flight Review: MNL to CEB, October 2011

Travel to Visayas excites me. Visiting Cebu excites me twice. Cebu is the main province of the Philippines and what I like about the province is their culture. Good thing, Philippine Airlines had an amazing promo few months ago and we were able to bought tickets. It was our Visayas Adventures on the month of October and we started to visit Cebu. 

Actually, our flight was moved to 9AM due to aircraft situation and some unwanted circumstances that happened on PAL operations. Good thing that they informed us ahead of time and was able to rebook the flights. It supposed to left at 5AM, so it means our travel time to Cebu was cut short since we will be going to Dumaguete City later that afternoon. But it was a good information from the flag carrier. :)

I left home at 6AM onboard a taxi and headed to NAIA Terminal 2.  I met with my friends and officemates. Terminal was quite deserted due to limited flights on that day because some of the remaining flights were moved to NAIA Terminal 3. by 7:30AM, we entered the terminal for our check-in.

Check-in was a breeze but I felt the transition of counter since the staff were relatively new. But nevertheless, service was there. We paid PHP200 Terminal Fee and headed to the final security check. After passing the checkpoint, we roamed around the terminal and it was few since flights to Davao, Laoag and Kalibo were only present unlike the usual jam-packed passengers during this time.

Boarding time commenced 30 minutes late. Gate was also change to S4 from S1. We boarded a bus and did it by batches. Good thing Philippine Airlines accommodated us properly. Some passengers were disappointed but we remained calm as usual. We cooperated the boarding procedures since all of us wanted to be Cebu safe and sound.

Delayed or not, Philippine Airlines excelled in service particularly from Flight attendants. I know they were in transition stage but service they provided was at its best.  They explained to us about the boarding procedures including the serving of meals or snacks. It was nice flying with the flag carrier. More flight to them in my next trip. :)
